- Is the sound and lighting equipment provided, and suited to the size of your venue?
- Is there a backup solution in case of a breakdown (duplicate equipment)?
- How do they build the playlist: your must-plays, your no-gos, the share of improvisation?
- Do they know the music of your culture if you are planning a multicultural wedding?
- What is the cutoff time imposed by the venue, and do they charge for overtime?
4. Nailing your playlist
Give a direction, not a rigid list: a few must-play tracks, a red list of titles to avoid, and trust the professional for the rest. Plan for key moments (first dance, opening of the dance floor) and leave room for spontaneity. For a two-culture wedding, alternating repertoires gets everyone dancing.
